SONSIEL United Nations Immersion Program
SONSIEL · UNITED NATIONS IMMERSION
WHY IMMERSION

You can read about global health. Or you can enter its ecosystem.

The program connects nursing practice with global policy, advocacy, diplomacy, civil society, sustainable development and innovation.

Participants learn how international institutions work, how policy moves, how organizations build influence and where nursing knowledge can contribute.

IMMERSION / NOT OBSERVATION

Learn the system. Meet the people. Translate your expertise. Find a pathway. Build something you can take home.

THE EXPERIENCE

Three days designed around participation.

The program moves from understanding the United Nations ecosystem into skill-building, coalition thinking, innovation and a practical pathway for action after the program ends.

01

Experience the UN ecosystem.

Explore United Nations Headquarters, its history, institutions, symbols and the physical environment of multilateral diplomacy.

02

Learn the language of participation.

Understand missions, delegations, civil society, coalitions, policy processes, SDGs, stakeholder mapping and pathways for engagement.

03

Translate nursing expertise.

Recognize how clinical practice, research, quality improvement, advocacy, leadership and problem-solving already map to global action.

04

Build with others.

Learn alongside an international cohort and work across science, innovation, intrapreneurship, entrepreneurship and leadership.

05

Bring it home.

Convert the experience into a focused advocacy and influence plan for your organization, community, country or issue area.
