For nurses who want to discover and implement innovative healthcare solutions to create value for patients, community, and the healthcare industry.

VIRTUAL - MARCH 1 - 2, 2024

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This virtual program introduces participants to the principles and actions used for new product and service commercialization that happens inside healthcare organizations and often occurs through the creation of new startup ventures. The program serves as an introduction on how to cultivate a new idea, how to test your most critical assumptions, how to find and speak with prospective customers and partners, and how to rapidly iterate ideas based on real customer feedback.

The program also introduces an assessment tool called the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile (EMP), which is used to help would-be entrepreneurs assess strengths and weaknesses in certain entrepreneurial traits and skills.

The curriculum includes education on tools such as the Lean Startup Methodology, approaches to corporate innovation, case study reviews, and learnings directly from nursing professionals who have launched new ideas in their fields to solve problems and improve the lives of others.

This non-matriculated certificate program serves as an introductory one, with the potential for future workshops that provide participants with deeper instruction in other areas of entrepreneurship and new venture building.

WHO THIS IS FOR

The participants in this program are nurses who have an interest in learning approaches to the launch and commercialization of new ideas that solve problems in their fields. Participants are those who are curious about how to approach new idea development within their existing organization AND those participants who are interested in launching new ideas through startup business ventures.

Participants do not need to have an existing idea to participate but instead only need to have an interest in how they can best leverage their experiences and expertise to solve important problems through the creation of new products and services that can be taken into the market.

PROGRAM LEARNING GOALS AND OUTCOMES
