SONSIEL Parallel Event in conjunction with the 68th UN Commission on the Status of Women: Innovation Approaches to Complex Contemporary Challenges

The complexity of contemporary global challenges requires innovative, well-informed, complex approaches by non-governmental civil society activists. Challenging the status quo with innovative programs and actions will be highlighted as we discuss risks and solutions, as well as gaps in protection and support when governments and elected officials fail to provide needed resources. Compassionate, theory-informed, policy-based, action-oriented approaches to health and humanitarian crises in the Middle East and throughout the world will be presented, focusing on citizen diplomacy, civil society activism, Caring Science, and Human Centered Care.
